“No people gather to remember Allah only desiring by that His countenance, except that it will be announced for them in the heavens: Stand forgiven! Your bad deeds have been replaced with good deeds!”

Islami Jamiat Talba NED works on the principle of pleasing Allah SWT and knows the crucial importance of sanctification and purification of self.
For this Islami Jamiat Talba NED organizes an online session named as Quran circle on every day of Ramadan after Fajr prayer where a Surat of Holy Quran is recited Ruko by Ruko along with Tafseer and thus participants can appreciate the beauty hidden in the words and have deep knowledge on a daily basis of what the book of Allah says to us.
This little act has proven much effective and brings remembrance of Almighty and the afterlife.
The month of Ramadan is all about fasting and following Allah (SWT)’s commands. There are countless opportunities to take advantage of during this month and Muslims seek repentance for past sins as well as becoming more pious.
Ramadan teaches us a great number of things; patience, piety, and discipline are just a few to name. Muslims should strive to take advantage of the opportunity Ramadan brings. In Ramadan, Muslims all around the world fast, perform Aitekaaf and Taravihs and give Zakat. Everyone is keen on obtaining the blessings of the night of Lailat-ul-Qadr, the Night of Power.
Performing Iftar is an act that brings blessings for Muslims. Some people make arrangements for Iftar for others such as in a mosque. This is a great act of kindness and one that is greatly favored by Allah (SWT). It is said that Allah (SWT) will open the gates of forgiveness for those who help fast observers in acquiring adequate Iftar to break their fast at this time. The one who gives a fast observer water to drink at the time of Iftar will be given a drink from Allah’s fountain where they will never again feel thirsty.
Islami Jamiat Talba NED has its own legacy of giving Iftar dinner. This Iftar dinner is arranged on a mega-scale where all students currently enrolled or graduated and all the university staff including both teaching and non-teaching are invited. There is a small dars prior to the Iftar for Tazki’a and Remembrance of Allah. It is quite a magnificent event as many seniors and teachers are there and students get to meet the Alumni of the renowned institute they are studying in.
The main purpose of this majestic event as mentioned above is to let open the fast of Muslims and please Allah by earning rewards. Another reason is that because usually in Ramazan the university is closed for students, so it also works as a reunion, meeting with teachers and Alumni, and best of all, be part of a pious gathering.
Ramadhan is the month of blessing, forgiveness, pity, dedication, and to gladden the lord of the universe. everyone is engaged in doing good deeds to achieve the maximum of blessings. As Almighty Allah has Himself has said in the Holy Quran:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous”
Ramadan is not just about testing your willpower and abstaining from food. At a deeper level, Ramadan is about transcending to become the best versions of ourselves to please Allah (SWT). To abstain from all things negative, be it in wicked thoughts, words, or actions.
Every day of Ramadhan is a reward for us. especially After fasting from dawn to dusk, the time of iftaar is really worthing. The entire dining table is filled full with multi dishes that make one’s mouth water Not in just one’s home but one will see plenty of people busy in iftaar drives. The students living in NED university’s hostel were also not left alone. IJT arranged plenty of iftaars and some small Dars-e-Quran for facilitating the hostelers living far away from their homes for the sack of studies. In all those tough times SAP team tried their best to come at par to the relief of hostelers.
